Life is a big old thing
It has come to my attention lately that a lot of people are in rather low spaces, feeling like they’re not worth it or that they’ve ruined their lives or that everything is going wrong at every opportunity. I know the feeling very well indeed. Because I feel it too. I sit and I worry about this and that and everything else and wonder why everything seems to go right for everyone else and go so very wrong for me.
Which is completely and utterly stupid.
I posted a note on facebook a few years ago with a quote in it that really struck me as being important to remember. I think it’s time to get it out again. Here…just read this and then get on with the rest of the day.
“Look at you. You’re young. And you’re scared. Why are you so scared? Stop being paralyzed. Stop swallowing your words. Stop caring what other people think. Wear what you want. Say what you want. Listen to the music you want to listen to. Play it loud as fuck and dance to it. Go out for a drive at midnight and forget that you have school the next day. Stop waiting for Friday. Live now. Do it now. Take risks. Tell secrets. This life is yours. When are you going to realize that you can do whatever you want?”
Yes. Being young is a gift. Every day is an opportunity. And all the little parts of your personality that make you who you are should be used, every day, to make the absolute most of the life you have.
So what are you waiting for?!
